The Birthday Draw is a national weekly prize draw launched in January 2026 by ITV and Global Radio (Capital, Heart, Classic FM, LBC). It offers a £1 million jackpot every week, with online entries from £1 or free entry by post. Players create a personalised entry using a meaningful date, an initial, and a colour chosen from a 12-colour rainbow. Up to 60 entries per person per draw.
The draw is backed by enormous marketing firepower — promotion across ITV television, Global's radio stations, and out-of-home advertising nationwide.
Legitimate and safe to enter. ITV and Global are regulated, publicly listed UK media companies. Full T&Cs are published, and a free postal entry route is clearly available, meaning it does not constitute a lottery under the Gambling Act 2005.
However, The Birthday Draw has not signed the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators — the industry standard published November 2025 with a deadline of 20 May 2026. BOTB, Omaze, Daymade, Raffle House and Raffolux all signed at launch. ITV and Global launched six weeks later and have not signed. No odds are published. No spend limit tools exist. No responsible play monitoring on the subscription journey — despite allowing 60 entries per week at £1 each.
