It is not a legal requirement — operators can run prize draws without signing it. But Code signatories signal a higher level of transparency and consumer protection.
UKGC Code signatory status is one of the five factors in the PrizeWise score. Signatories receive a full 10/10 on the compliance dimension. Non-signatories score lower, regardless of other quality signals.
